What do flowers mean to you? What does a beautiful view mean to you? When I painted this, I wanted to hold on to a place in time—the kind of place you can return to when life feels too loud. My daughter had gathered these wildflowers on a trail my family has walked for generations, and in that small act, everything I love about that landscape came rushing back. The warmth of late summer, the sound of wind through grass, the way love lingers quietly in ordinary moments.

It’s not just about the flowers or the view—it’s about belonging. That feeling that you’re part of something bigger and beautiful, and that the world keeps offering itself to you, over and over, whether you deserve it or not. I painted it to remember that kind of love—the childhood kind, simple and honest. The kind you can still feel if you stop long enough to notice what’s blooming at your feet.
