This piece came about in one of those raw, honest moments when you just want to lift someone you care about. A dear friend of mine was fighting her demons...wrestling with the kind of invisible battles we all face at some point. And in her heart, I knew she was this woman: strong, graceful, resilient. I sketched this quickly, imperfectly, as a kind of mirror for her...a reminder of the strength that had always been there, even when she doubted it. Another friend shared an affirmation that seemed to fit so perfectly: I am happy and grateful for the unexpected abundance that comes into my life every day. That’s what I hope this sketch carries: a whisper of encouragement, a nudge toward remembering the good that finds us, even when we’re not looking. A quiet tribute to the beauty of holding on to hope when it feels just out of reach.
